19th C. Freehand 2 Gallon Western PA Decorated Stoneware Crock With Stripes AAFA

  
This western PA stoneware decorated crock stands 10" tall and measures 9" from rim-to-rim (with a 7.25 opening). This piece has a ceamish/gray hue, but is more very light cream than gray (although there is some gray). The flash makes it appear more gray in the photos. It is decorated with a freehand "2" flanked by two stripes on each side.

As shown, the crock is in very good condition, with all of the production flaws shown. There is a glazed-over production dent above the stripes on the right side, two small production indentation inside the "2", a small production dent on the back, and a production spider on the inside. All of these are shown, were made during the production process, and do not detract from the integrity of this great piece of stoneware.
