Here is a Pennsylvania 4 striped wax sealer stoneware canning jar. This unfortunately has a hairline crack down the front, it is Y shaped and goes to the base.

It does not go through the lip/rim. The hairline is not very. In inside house lighting, but is outside in the sunlight. (You can see the last photo in the sunlight) The crack is tight and not loose.
