Antique circa late 1800's salt glazed stoneware crock with'chicken pecking corn' cobalt decoration. Marked with a'3' stamp & incision line running the circumference. Attributed to Poughkeepsie or Ellenville pottery. Sourced in the Hudson Valley of New York State. Very good original antique condition. A few small chips on interior of lip (see photos) & Albany slip glaze missing on parts of the interior due to manufacturing flaw. A wonderful piece of American folk art.
