Description : A rare, small-size Stoneware Crock with primitive Cobalt Decoration, 3-Quart capacity, Northeastern US, origin, ca. Wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with tooled rim and applied lug handles. Front features an elaborate Floral Decoration or a cheeky Monkey shooting bullets skyward?

Artistically executed in the boldest of Slip-Trailed Cobalt. Salt-Glazed exterior; Albany Slip interior. Condition : Vertical rim crack (left side), left handle with glaze loss. And two small glaze flakes (lower left) as shown; otherwise Very Good with strong color.

See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description. Very HTF size; measures approximately 3/4 Gal (3-Quarts), filled 1.5 below the rim. Measures only 6-3/4H x 8W overall with a base diameter of 7-1/4.
