G & A Black, Salt Glazed Crock, With Black's typical Doe's Foot Brushed Cobalt Decoration that was well executed on both sides, over all good condition, but kiln firing issues that include spider cracking, probably as a result of the cooling process done a bit hastily as well as deformation at two places either from clay composition or thermal firing processes, despite this the crock rings true, and is solid with a nice over all form, there is a small edge chip to the rim and one on the base, there are remnants of felt tape on the bottom, The extruded handles are very nice, and attached well and the rim tooling is good with a minor pebble eruption, 12-1/4" tall, 7-3/4" outer rim, 7-1/8 base, Over all a nice example of a G & A Black 2 Gal Jar.
