Antique Stoneware-Early Catawba Valley, NC Alkaline Glaze crock
Offered here is a scarce, and highly collectible, 19th century, Early Catawba Valley, N. 2 gallon Handled Beehive Crock with a medium brown alkaline drip glaze that fades top to bottom. It stands slightly nearly 12 inches tall and is approximately 9 in diameter at the widest point. It's in great condition, with 2 rim chips that don't distract from the overall good condition for a crock of this type and age. The two chips are identified in the photos by white arrows. There are no other identification marks.
