Salt-glazed Stoneware Cake or Storage Crock Lid with Cobalt Decorations, 8-1/2 Diameter, probably Baltimore, Maryland origin, ca. Cylindrical, wheel-thrown form with applied button handle and retaining flange on the underside.

Decorated with 3 primitive Tri-Petal designs surrounding heavy Brushed Cobalt accent around the handle perimeter. Condition : A very professional restoration noted on the handle, and expected wear and a few shallow flakes on the underside, as shown; otherwise Very Good to Excellent with very bold color. Typical surface, glaze and firing imperfections noted for descriptive accuracy.

Small nick noted on handle (see close-up, photo #6). Diameter measures 8-1/2 and there is an approximate 3/4W lip all the way around underneath, if looking for a matching cover to an existing cake in your collection.
