This is a very nice antique stoneware pottery water filter cooler. Made by the Crown Filter Co.

Of Glasgow It has the Improved Cleansible Filter. I have shown a picture of a original brochure from 1875 (dated on the bottom of the page) This wonderful old cooler is in very good shape, there is only one minor chip by the spout (shown) and a small chip on the lid's bottom inside inner ring (also shown).

Pretty remarkable considering it is 140 years old. Measures 17 inches tall and is about 8 inches across the bottom. This would make a great addition to your pottery collection.
