Antique Vtg Primitive 4 Gallon Bachelder Ovoid Salt Glaze Stoneware Crock

  
This is an original antique (mid 19th century) salt glaze ovoid stoneware crock with beautiful cobalt floral design on the front, unsigned, but possibly by Bachelder of Menasha, Wisconsin. There is some damage to the crock including three hairlines and a few small chips on each handle (all shown close-up in the photos).

The two hairlines closest to the front have been glued so no movement occurs at the cracks and the entire piece is sturdy and solid. It is an unusual piece and displays beautifully! The crock measures 12 1/4" H x about 10 1/2" in diameter (it is not shaped perfectly round at the top edge).
