Ca 1800s Large 5 Gallon Baltimore Maryland Blue Decorated Stoneware Jar As Is. Stoneware crock is 16 1/4" tall, 12" at the middle at the widest, 8 3/8" wide at top, 8 7/8" base. This crock has some damage it is in As Found condition. It is in fair condition overall. There is some color tones ranging from gray to brownish and into cream colors all consistent with manufacturing.

Nice medium blue salt glaze floral design patterns around sides. Rim top has a hairline crack 3/4" down outside and 1" down on inside. (Please see photos for condition).

One spider hairline crack extends completely across the bottom. There is some spider cracking at the bottom side that goes through to the interior of the crock.

The cracking goes to the underside and across the bottom. The crack is all the way through and can be seen on the inside.

Light can be seen through the crack in the V crack across the bottom when held up to the light or shining a flashlight underneath. Some pottery bubbles, scrapes, and pops around the sides consistent with production glazing and firing. Marked on the side "5" in a circle.
