HUGE Antique Stoneware Jug Crock James George Hawley Bristol England 1800s
This is the largest stoneware jug I have ever seen. Jug measures 22 tall by 13 diameter. The remarkable size makes it rare and a statement piece. What makes it even more rare is the superb condition. Most jugs this old have hairline fractures or other significant damage.
The only noteworthy blemishes on this example are a few tiny chips on the spout. The second to last photo includes some info on the maker, who passed away in 1888. It is amazing that this piece has survived 150+ years in this condition.
