Victorian Stoneware Charcoal Water Filter Crock with Stand by Frederick Lipscombe & Co London, England. DUE TO SIZE, AGE & WEIGHT VERY RARE TO SEE IN THE US AND VERY RARE TO ALSO HAVE A STAND. Total height base of stand to top of stoneware rim. Total Weight: 51.6 Lbs!

19" tall x11.25"wide. 9.25 open mouth, 7.5' top of rim to top of filter. Weights 40 lbs, +/- 24 gallons.

22" tall x 22" widest at base. Stand Weight 11.6 Lbs. Massive English stoneware charcoal water filter with applied grapes & grape leaves and a Royal Warrant. It has faint bands of incised greek key decoration that is under glaze.

Spigot hole at the bottom. Comes with a large wooden Oak? The mortise and tenon joints are loose and need some tightening to become more solid and one of the legs, at some point, cracked or broke and was expertly repaired with nails but could be more expertly repaired.

I have left in original condition as found many years ago. Inside the crock is a charcoal media filter with a stoneware cap/filter lid. This is somewhat sealed in place with cement of sorts, and could be removed by the new owner to increase the usable depth in the jar. Because of this filter media the jar is marked "8L" which is a little over 2 gallons.

Overall volume (without filter media) approximately 24 gallons. Weight provided in listing are just of the items not backing and boxes.
