This is a hard-to-find red wing crock in reasonable condition considering age. Additionally these pieces are known for manufacturing flaws. The crock its self has no cracks.

The lid is marked Weir and it has a crack in it. I dont know if its original to this piece but Ive seen weir lids on a variety of stoneware products. Picture 3 shows a chipped around where a metal rod inserted. Picture 4 shows an area that has a chipped area along with some manufactured flaws.

There is glaze inside some of this area which tells me that some of this occurred during manufacturing. Picture 9 shows a small chip. 2 large manufacturing flaws next to a chip.
