1800's, 3 Cobalt Blue Striped, 1 Gal. Wax Sealer Stoneware Jar Canning Crock
This is a mid to late 1800's wax seal stoneware canning crock that is probably from the Pennsylvania to West Virginia area. It stands approximately 9-1/2 tall and an approximately 4-1/4 mouth opening.
It is gray with 3 blue stripes on it's body. They look like brush strokes. The jar looks to be in very good shape with no cracks evident and any chips that are evident, well, they're from a looong time ago.
There are evident brown spots from moisture and and a strip of rough textured glaze in one area. See my photos as they are part of this description. The base of the crock very nice and has a piece of tape on it with a name but I can't really read it that well. Probably just a former owner of the thing. Remember, your package is INSURED! EVERYTHING IS USED UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED!If there is a display piece visible in any picture, it is NOT included unless otherwise stated.
