HEINZ Stoneware CROCK , KEYSTONE Pickling & Preserving Works NICE. This is a very nice 1890's era H J Heinz stoneware advertising crock that comes from the Pittsburg USA plant. This features a very nice logo on the front of the Keystone with words of "Pickling & Preserving Works".
Has a nice decorative design around the top and bottom of the crock. This still has nice color and minimal staining from use. There is a hairline crack on the front as shown that extends about 2- 2 1/2 up the crock. The crack also is shown on the underside and comes thru on the inside.
Has one tiny chip on rim that looks old and been there a long time. The crock is however structually sound and does not sound dead or with a thud when tapped. This piece stands about 5 3/8" tall and has a diameter of about 6 3/8".
Still a great old crock that will display well and has stood the test of time from use! A Great old Company name!!! Auctiva offers Free Image Hosting and Editing. The item "1890'S H. HEINZ Stoneware CROCK, KEYSTONE Pickling & Preserving Works NICE" is in sale since Sunday, February 17, 2019.
