19th C. 2 gal. A. P. Donaghho West Virginia Stoneware Jug with Blue Decoration

  

Stoneware jug dates from the second half of the 1800's and is in excellent condition. It features a stencil in cobalt blue with the maker's mark and their signature "zipper" geometric design. The jug stands 13 3/4" tall and is slightly tapered from top to the base which measures 7 3/4" in diameter. The strap handle has a heavy blue accent around the top.
