5 gallon A. P. Donaghho Stoneware Crock Churn Parkersburg WV Salt Glazed Zipper
Nice AP Donaghho Parkersburg West Virginia 5 gallon Stoneware Churn. This Piece has some great contrast and displays very well. The stenciled pattern is often referred to a zipper pattern, or less commonly as tire treads. The crock has a few noteworthy shallow rim chips, and one rim chip that is mirrored on the inside of the rim. Some small chips to the underside of the right handle. There is general staining and wear and what appears to be some surface only glaze cracks. If any of them do go through to the Albany slip, I was unable to see. There is no restoration to this piece. It is 18 tall, and 9 at the rim. Id estimate it to be about 12 at the widest point. The item "5 gallon A.
