1870's Primitive Salt Glaze Gray Stoneware "Hamilton Jones Greensboro Pa" 1 Gallon Crock. Cobalt Blue Stencil on front with some flourishes, Leaves, Vines. 10" high, 6" wide, 5 1/2 across mouth diameter. The cobalt on front is not as vivid as often found because of the dark gray background glaze. Great Condition, NO chips/nicks or cracks. There are two factory grooves (they're basically identical, I'm indicating the deeper) at the lip as shown & some spots/atypical factory pits. Does not set completely flush as this is hand-made. Double-Boxed to assure safe arrival.
