Antique 19thc Constine Wilkes Barre PA Stoneware Jug Crock James Ryan Pittston

  
Stoneware advertising jug made and stamped by James Ryan, Pittston, Pa. Ryan potted in Pittston from 1888 into the 1890's William Ketchum, Jr. This jug was made for Constine's, W-Barre, PA. This beauty features the maker's stamp and Stenciled Advertising. Approx 11" tall with a base diameter of approx 6.5". Overall condition is good with only minor issues. There is a tight hairline running from the bottom of the lip down the shoulder on both sides (shown in photos 9 & 10).

Photos 11 and 12 shows some rough areas that all appear to have been done in the making. It looks like the glaze missed a few small spots as well.
