ANTIQUE BLUE DECORATED STONEWARE CAKE CROCK / W A MACQUAD & Co. NY

  

This is a three gallon crock as indicated with the cobalt 3 on the front. In picture #3 you can see it is signed on the back W A MacQuad & Co.

Pottery works, Little & 12th St. This was in the Manhattan area of NY and they operated in the 1870's. In picture #7 I try to show a very tight line that does not go through. In picture #8 I show the inside of the crock at that same spot and you can see it does not go through.

Possible drying line with being a big cake crock. It measures 5 3/4" Tall and has a 12" Diameter at the rim and a 12 1/4 Diameter at the base. Please check all the pictures.

I try to get every angle and side. It is tough to find them in this condition. Please check my other auctions this week. Ninety percent of what I sell is from estate sales and is not new.
