Antique Butterine Stoneware Crock from a merchant in Economy, Pennsylvania. Old Economy was the home of The Economites, a quasi religious community founded by Father George Rapp in the 19th.
Century in Beaver County Pennsylvania. The Members are long gone however, the buildings and artifacts of the Economite settlement may still be visited. This crock was from the town previously founded by the Economites. The piece is excellent original condition. The lid was previously broken and repaired as seen in the photos Ht.
