Antique Cowden & Wilcox Cobalt Decorated Stoneware Batter Jug Crock Aafa

  
Here is a wonderful Cowden & Wilcox Harrisburg stoneware batter jug in amazing condition. There is no capacity mark, however I believe it is a one gallon jug. It has its original wooden bail handle and tin covers for the opening and the spout that are in perfect condition. There are no chips on the rim, the base or the spout. The jug has no cracks and the only apologies are in the making pop on one of the ears as seen in the pictures and kiln burn to the base.

There is minor cobalt loss to the decoration on the front. The cobalt decoration is beautiful and profuse, and the Cowden & Wilcox mark is strong.

This jug is 8 tall, which is a perfect size for display. There are no cracks in this piece and it really is as flawless a jug as I've owned. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. Thanks so much for looking!
