ANTIQUE ONE HALF GALLON COBALT SLIP DECORATED STONEWARE CROCK. It measures 8-1/2" tall with a diameter of 5-1/4" at the bottom and 5 at the top. It weighs about three pounds and features. A nice variable color gray/brown salt glaze on the exterior.

A 1/2'' deep slightly extended flat top rim. Raised collar just below the top rim to tie off a cloth cover. Incised line decoration 1-1/4'' below the raised collar. Four units cobalt leaf decoration just below the top rim.

Potter's finger grooves visible inside. The crock is in good structural condition showing no chips or cracks. A nice piece of late 19th century salt glazed pottery!
