It measures 13" tall with a diameter of 8-1/4" at the bottom, 7-1/2 at the top and weighs 10.4 pounds. It is attributed to David Parr & Son, Richmond, VA potters during 1860-70. A nice variable color gray salt glaze on the exterior.
A lighter Albany style interior glaze. A 3/4'' tall and extended flat top rim. Raised groove just below the top rim used to secure a cloth cover. The crock is in good condition showing no chips, but a web like separation on and near the bottom.
