Antique E. & L. P. NORTON Churn, Circa 1861 1881, BENNINGTON, VT, Stoneware

  
This is an antique E. NORTON Churn, made between 1861 - 1881, in Bennington, VT.

It is the smaller two (2) gallon churn, which, were not preserved as well as the larger versions of the butter churns. The inside is coated with a dark brown slip glaze. There is a very nice cobalt blue flower on one side.
