It is the smaller two (2) gallon churn, which, were not preserved as well as the larger versions of the butter churns. The inside is coated with a dark brown slip glaze. There is a very nice cobalt blue flower on one side.
It also has two formed handles, one on each side. Note: There is a crack on the lip, and one by the handle. Neither crack has affected the overall strength of this churn.
