This is an original antique (mid-late 19th century) 5 gallon stoneware crock with salt glaze on the outside, Albany slip glaze on the inside, and bold cobalt blue markings on the front including a bee sting or tornado pattern. Condition is good and the crock displays beautifully, but there are three tight hairlines (two are almost invisible but appear to go through to the inside) including one on the front top edge and two on the back top edge. There is also a tiny chip on the edge of one handle and some imperfections from the kiln along the bottom edge, all shown in the photos. The item "Antique Primitive 5 Gallon Salt Glaze Cobalt Bee Sting Tornado Stoneware Crock" is in sale since Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
