Antique stoneware crock, hand made and signed in "LYONS" New York State in the Civil War Era. This crock is salt glazed stoneware with a showy cobalt flower and #2. It has applied handles and a toasty golden color. The embossment which reads "LYONS" is also cobalt in color and offset to add to the quirky primitive history of the piece. This is a SHOWSTOPPER of a crock!!!

The golden color and extraordinary design work will give your collection or that spot in your home that extra warm inviting accent. This crock measures 12" tall and 9" wide. There is little to report in the way of flaws.

There is a chip left side rear in the lip and what looks to be a glaze pop and a turkey dropping below that. There are NO CRACKS - NO HAIRLINES - NO REPAIRS!!! Primitive antique stoneware is used and not new. It may show signs of use and age.
