Antique Primitive T. H. Gunther 3 Gallon Cobalt Flower Salt Glaze Stoneware Crock

  
This is an original antique T. Gunther stoneware crock with salt glaze on the outside, Albany slip glaze on the inside, and bold cobalt flower decoration on the front.

There is a partial oval stamp on the side and a number three, typical of Gunther stoneware, but there are almost no readable letters in the oval. The crock is in very good condition but has a faint crow's foot on the bottom side edge that spreads several inches up the side and across the bottom, and a very faint hairline on the top edge at the back. There are a few tiny flakes on one handle, but otherwise no chips.

It is clean and sturdy and displays beautifully!
