Antique RARE 1 1/2 Gal Ottman Bro's & Co Fort Edward NY Stoneware Handled Crock

  

This is a fantastic Ottman Bro's & Co. Rare 1 1/2 gallon salt glazed crock.

On front it is marked impressed in a very light cobalt wash Ottman Bro's & Co Fort Edward, N. Has a nicely incised line on top side wall & two opposing handles. A thick & pebbly shiny salt glazed surface!!! It measures approximately 8 inches tall, 8 1/2 inches across bottom base & upper rim diameter is 9 inches. It is in excellent condition.

Does have expected wear & roughness on bottom base, a couple of rim flakes & droplet of clay deposit on upper inside edge of rim done in the making. Underside bottom base has paper remnants of felt protectors that was once applied. This is a wonderful salt glaze crock in a great rare 1 1/2 gallon size that can be easily displayed most anywhere in your home!!! Please see pictures for more details.
