Antique Primitive 1 1/2 Gallon Cake Crock by Brown Brothers, Huntington, Long Island New York. Beautiful Hadn applied Handles also without damage. Hand Applied Bold Cobalt Blue Hanging Leaves. 1840, according to research on the Brown Brothers. This crock could have also been used as a small pickling crock.

We've pickled eggs in it for the last five years. Moving to a larger crock for that purpose. Measures: 8 1/4" Tall x 9" Across - EXCELLENT Condition.

No breaks, chips, nicks, repairs, etc. All I could find under very close inspection was a very small "hairline" on the inside that does not go through. Feels like glaze is in it, so probably from manufacturing. Please see the last picture for the close-up I had to take so you could see it.
