Description : An antique Stoneware Butter Crock Souvenir from the Chicago Worlds Fair (aka Columbian Exposition) attributed to Whites Utica, NY, dated 1893. Molded cylindrical form with cobalt highlights. Impressed on both sides: COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION / 1893 with Greek Key banding above and below. Salt-Glazed exterior; Albany Slip interior.

Note: This is the largest size souvenir butter crock made by Whites for the Exposition, attended by over 27 million.. Probably not something you wanted to carry around the whole day. See Internet for further information, comps, etc.

Condition : Very Good overall with attractive form, strong color and desirable and subject matter. Rim has a shallow flake (interior) and three faint vertical hairlines, as shown. Base has expected perimeter wear and some minor soiling. See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description.

Measures 7W x 5-1/2H overall with a base diameter of 6-1/2. Diameter of inner rim: 6.
