Stoneware were quickly decorated with a cobalt slip cup. Condition : Very Good overall with the following imperfections noted below. Rim wear expected wear and chips, notably one on reverse with small associated hairline. Body with moderate surface discoloration; some fry on the thickest areas or the decoration; surface-only hairlines upper right (see close-up, photo #8). Base with minor wear and small piece of attached clay.
Inherent surface, glaze and firing imperfections pings, scars, etc. Noted for complete descriptive accuracy. No repaired damage or restoration work. A very desirable form and Boston (Charlestown) maker.
