Marshmallow, cracker, tobacco and pickle advertising items. This fine blue and gray Heinz crock dates to the 1890's through the early 1900's. Measuring 6 1/8 inches in diameter and 5 3/8 inches high.
Initially for apple butter, followed by preserves and jellies. It was given to me by my fellow the PR workers upon my promotion Ass't. On the Heinz Pickle and Vinegar product lines in the early 1970's.
It has three cracks running down from the rim and what I call glaze. Burn at the rim base (see photos) but still shows well on the shelf... It has been displayed on and off for more than 40 years.
