Description : A stencil-decorated, utilitarian Stoneware vessel with makers advertising, Western Pennsylvania origin, ca. I would classify this form as somewhere in-between a Milk Pan and Cake Crock; possibly even used for animal feed, or similar, at some point.. Wheel-thrown, tapered form with rounded rim.

Salt-Glazed exterior; Albany or Mineral Slip interior. Front features a 7L horizontal Floral Stencil in bold Cobalt, followed below by: HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO, PENN.
