Antique Vintage 6 Gallon Red Wing Union Stoneware Crock with Handles

  
This is an original vintage 6 gallon Red Wing Union stoneware crock with crisp, bold markings including a fancy script "6", a four inch wing, and patent date on the side of Dec. The original bail handles are missing and were replaced with old pieces of wire on both sides.

The crock is in excellent condition otherwise; there are absolutely no cracks anywhere and there are a few chips along the bottom edge that appear to be from the factory (they are in the spots where the crock was set on extra clumps of clay during firing that were knocked off when the crock was removed from the kiln). The crock is smooth, shiny, and clean overall and displays beautifully!
