Antique Williams & Reppert Greensboro, Pennsylvania 4 Gallon Crock 1890-1910
Beautiful stoneware salt glazed antique crock. Cobalt blue decorative marks on the front side and the handles on top of a gray background. The crock has a circular flat base and two handles near the top. The inside is also glazed with a brown background.
It is handmade, the potter's marks can be seen on the inside. Dimensions are 15 inches tall x 10 inches long x 10 inches wide. Please see photos for further description.
One long crack along side and on bottom. The piece has been appraised in the past and it was said that the crack appears to be pre-glaze and original to the making, which can be expected in a piece of this age. The crack does not go through any of the lettering and does not effect the quality of the piece. There is also a small discoloration on the front at the bottom of the piece.
