Fancy Antique Stoneware Batter Jug Pitcher Wood Handle

  

A nice primitive decorative brown glazed batter jug. Has a couple of chips on the bottom rim and a couple of spots where the glaze bubbled and popped but no major damage.

The wood handle is in great condition for its age with very little ware, and. The bail has minimal oxidation and is in overall good display condition. You can see the makers finger prints in the glaze around the bottom which add to it character! It stands about 8" tall (11.5" counting the handle) and is roughly 8" diameter at the base with a 4" diameter top opening. This would be a great addition to a country kitchen or rustic decor.
