HICKORY GROVE FARM CRYSTAL CREAMERY OHIO Blue Salt Glazed Stoneware Dairy OH
Pictured is an early salt glazed stoneware blue decorated butter crock offered for sale. Crock is stenciled in blue HICKORY GROVE FARM -- CRYSTAL CREAMERY -- THEO. Measures 5 1/5" in height, 6 7/8" in diameter, & dates from 1870 - 1895. There is a faint thru.
Hairline at the rim measuring 4" on the interior side & 2" on the exterior side. Both are difficult to see without bright light & the right angle. Note: The two streaks at the base are inmanufacture. I was unable to picture the interior side line due to the dark glaze.
