JUST OUT OF AN OLD OHIO FARMHOUSE ESTATE I FOUND THIS STUNNING HUGE HAND WHEEL THROWN 19TH CENTURY STONEWARE DECORATED CROCK. THIS IS THE LARGEST DECORATED STONEWARE PIECE I HAVE HAD IN OVER 30 YEARS OF DEALING. 1ST PHOTO SHOWS ITS TRUEST COLORS AS I HAD TO PHOTO IT OUTSIDE DUE TO ITS MASSIVE SIZE. IT HAS LARGE BLUE SLIP 12 AND WHAT THEY REFER TO AS BEE STING DESIGN OR A BUTTERFLY OR DRAGONFLY.
3 THICK FELT PADS PUT UNDER BASE FOR SAFETY. IT HAS 3 IN MAKING SEPERATIONS AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF BASE THAT DO NOT GO THROUGH THE BODY AT ALL. I SUPER CAREFULLY EXAMINED THIS AND EVEN STUCK MY HEAD INSIDE WITH FLASHLIGHT TO MAKE SURE THOSE LINES DID NOT GO THROUGH. THERE ARE 2 SUPER MINOR THIN CHIPS ON TOP INSIDE EDGE AS SHOWN.NO GUNK BUILDUP ON INTERIOR. IT MEASURES NEARLY 18 1/2 INCHES HIGH BY 15 INCH DIAMETER AT TOP THOUGH THE BASE FLARES OUT A BIT WIDER.
THIS PROBABLY WEIGHS 35-40 POUNDS. The item "HUGE 12 GALLON STONEWARE CROCK BLUE SLIP BEE STING DESIGN 1870'S ERA" is in sale since Thursday, July 27, 2017.
