Pictured is an uncommon & infrequently seen blue decorated salt glazed crock from the Mogadore/Akron, Ohio area. The slender three gallon crock is incised with the maker's mark L. MINIER & is decorated with a large drooping flower on stem. The crock measures 12 1/4" in height, 9 1/2" base diameter, & dates from 1845 - 1870. As seen, it's in good condition with three very small flakes on the interior rim.

There is a faint 3 hairline on the interior rim, not thru and a hairline crack across the base. A novel blue decorated crock from northeastern Ohio for your collection....
