Wonderful Glaze on this early, primitive Salt Glazed Jug, that has 2 large, raised Turkey Droppings on one side, and a small one on back. In addition, this has neat tan "Orange Peel" texturing and Glazing on top and on handle. More of that tan glaze formed a large SPLOTCH between the 2 large droppings and the handle.

Some of the dark dropping glaze made tiny little droplets in this splotch. Really a cool, old Jug to add to your collection. SIZE: Approx 9 1/8 to top of the arched handle. Base is 7" diam and jug is about 8 1/4" across at widest part shoulder & handle. Measurements are to the best of my ability to measure and may not be 100% precise.

CONDITION: It is old, and the 2 large turkey droppings have some glaze rubs on their highest points. These may have been sharp points that chipped off, but you CAN see and feel them. There are 2 small bottom rim flakes/chips. Largest is about 3/8 long.

Several other MINUTE, tiny dings, glaze rubs, faint scratches here and there common in old jugs. This is OLD, OLD and not in mint condition, but overall very very good condition. Spout and handle are free of chips or cracks.
