Rare Antique Vintage 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock Salt Glaze? PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD. There is debate about the age of this crock. I was told by an expert in crocks that this was made pre-1800. I have no idea who the random ebayer is and this person has not produced credentials or any evidence to the contrary or even said how old they think this one is.

So, in short, please do your own research. At the end of the day, please draw your own conclusions.

You either like the crock or you dont. We have never seen one quite like it before.

I WOULD CALL THIS ONE Very Good WITH AGE APPROPRIATE WEAR. SEE ALL OF THE PICTURES TO MAKE YOUR OWN ASSESSMENT OF CONDITION.

About 8.75 across top opening. About 10 across top counting the lips / edges. Base is approximately 9.75 across. There is a small crack inside and a little chip (pictured).

There is also a small pitted mark on the outer lip (pictured). This is an extremely old piece.
