RARE VINTAGE 20 GALLON CROCK WESTERN STONEWARE COMPANY MONMOUTH, ILL. It is in Excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing in this awesome crock. It still has the original wooden handles.

This crock dates to the late 1920's to early 1930's. The are 2 manufacture defects. The first is a air bubble in the glaze to the left of the maple leaf. The second is a small 3/8 underglaze separation crack to the part where the handles attach (see photo) caused from shrinking when the crock was fired in the kiln.
