SCARCE MID-19TH C AMERICAN ANTIQUE STONEWARE Crock w Earthenware Lid. Found in Virginia - the red clay earthenware fitted lid makes me think this is likely a southern crock, probably from VA.

In excellent condition given age. With lid stands approximately 8.5 high. There is a chip in the crock shoulder (hard to see) and the lid has chipped rim and flea bites on the knobby pull.
