Hartford CT Antique Stoneware Pottery Jug Crock Ovoid Early 19th. Goodwin stoneware salt glazed jug. Made circa 1830 or so in West Hartford, CT. This is a two gallon jug. There are flourishes of cobalt glaze around the handle.

The makers mark is also in cobalt blue. It has a nice ovoid form that tapers to the bottom. The jug is in fantastic condition with the exception of a crack in the mid body of the front side. The crack is stable and as long as the jug is handled with a modicum of respect it should last another 200 years intact.
