THOMAS COMMERAW 2 GALLON STONEWARE OVOID JUG. MARKED CORLEARS HOOK WHERE COMMERAW POTTED IN NYC. DECORATED WITH HIS SIGNATURE CLAM SHELL and TASSELS. Jug is 15 tall and has some drying cracks around handle that have been there since it was thrown.

There is spalling on the bottom right which is clearly photographed. This is a rare opportunity to own a rare piece of Americana. Thomas Commeraw was a free African American who potted in the CORLEARS Hook area of New York City.
