This is a vintage, antique, original, Red Wing, Butter Crock with handle in stoneware spongeware. It came from an estate in Montana. I believe it held 3 lbs of butter back in the day. It looks all original, no lid, it has advertising on the inside bottom that reads : Compliments of M. Hakes & Sons Laurens, Iowa No cracks, no chips, looks like one small casting mark on inside wall near bottom (see last photo right side wall brown spot). Stamped made in Red Wing on bottom.
